Matt has been sharing his knowledge of baseball as a professional coach for the last 8 years. Recruited by UMass Amherst out of high school, and later transferring to UMass Lowell, Matt’s playing career was cut short due a back injury.  His unfaltering passion for the game continued after his playing career, and led him right into coaching. 

 

Matt has spent 4 years as the Lowell High School head JV coach and 3 years as a head coach for the 12U & 15U travel teams in the Scorpions AAU Baseball Club.  Most recently, Matt applied his knowledge and skills at Northern Essex Community College serving as their catching instructor. 

 

Now he brings his knowledge and passion back to TrainMLB! A former assistant coach, and student of Mike Landry, Matt has extensive first-hand knowledge of the progressive teaching methods on which our training sessions are based.
